Sony Xperia 10 III Renders 2021
Xperia 10 III packs a 6 inch screen, the typical large bezels and vertical rectangular format. The dimensions are 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3 mm, with 9.1 mm being the thickness WITH camera bump. At least the device is a bit shorter and narrower than the predecessor, but also a tad thicker. It’s a similar package I’d say. At the back we find a triple camera with a main 12 MP shooter, an 8 MP ultrawide cam and 8 MP telephoto cam. Dual stereo speakers are here, plus the audio jack.
The fingerprint scanner remains on the side, embedded in the flat and receded Power button. And now comes the good news: the CPU has been bumped up to a Snapdragon 690 5G, quite the welcome upgrade from the Snapdragon 665. In some ways this sounds like a very basic device, but in others it moves away from the typical lower end CPUs and lower end cameras. Last year I tested the Xperia 10 II and found it to be poor, underwhelming, weak, camera-wise at least. It actually spoiled a vacation of a friend of mine, who used as a daily driver while on holiday.
We definitely need better cameras. 6 GB of RAM and a 90 Hz screen wouldn’t hurt.
