HTC Zero is Finally Ready
I’ve abandoned all hope that HTC would make a turnaround anytime soon and decided to focus on other companies. Back in the day HTC generated some pretty nifty wet dreams for designers, but now it’s basically over. One of the few people who still keep hope for the brand is Concept Creator, who is back with the HTC Zero.
Why “Zero”? Because it’s a reset of everything we know and a way to go back to the drawing board. The design feels like 2016 or 2017, maybe even 2015, but it has the modern requirements, like a selfie camera cutout in the screen or very narrow screen bezels. We also get a red hue and golden/silver accents for the black version.
I have to say that the HTC Zero front side isn’t half bad, but I’m not very sure about the back side. It feels a bit too old school and may turn off some people. HTC was well known for its speakers and BoomSound, so that should definitely make a comeback. Also, those two back cameras better be kickass, otherwise, the device feels like a flop.
There’s a part of me that wishes this concept phone would have been fully made of metal, an unibody piece of work like the HTC One M7, but glass and metal combined are the way to go these days, like a requirement of sorts. I’d see a few nostalgic people buying the Zero…
