Oppo Find X2
Every once in a while I peruse Behance.net looking for up and coming designers, who have a bolder view of industrial design. My latest find is David Wayne, who envisioned a new Oppo Find X, which is rendered below. Meet the Oppo Find X2!
If you remember, the Oppo Find X had a cool motorized slider mechanism for its camera. It looked pretty badass and it was copied a bit by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and the Honor Magic 2. I actually prefer it over the pop up selfie cameras. Anyway, this new concept phone was rendered using Sketchbook and Photoshop Express. It shows a slim format and an angularity that feels like a throwback to the Xperia Omnibalance design.
The way the bottom is rectangular and curved on the sides feels like a Lumia 800. Bezels have been cut to the max, but the frame feels rather solid. I would say the designer needs to get rid of the earpiece to keep symmetry and could integrate it into the display. I also spot a pretty badass triple camera at the back, but I can’t quite figure out where the selfie camera went.
It’s very likely that the whole vertical black module lifts up to reveal said camera. I wish we had more intel, because it looks pretty promising.
