Apple iPhone XT Goes Next Gen Thanks to Hasan Kaymak
Hasan Kaymak is back! He was one of the designers who made concepts in the early days of this website and he’s been on a hiatus for a while, but he’s back with two new designs. One of them involves a HTC, the brand he always liked to tackle and the other is the nifty new iPhone XT below.
This phone is supposed to be the successor to the 2017 iPhone X and it brings forth some upgrades, starting with the 4 GB of RAM and continuing with the 6.1 inch OLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There’s also a 16 megapixel back camera with F/1.6 aperture and I find it odd, that it moves towards a singular camera. Well, at least it may get the OIS right this time, since I’ve seen that aspect failing on basically all dual camera phones, maybe except the Galaxy Note 8.
Judging by the renders, the device looks like it’s covered in chrome, or some similar glossy metal. It has a “ring within ring design”, with multiple sheets of metal welded together, making for a pretty interesting phablet. Obviously the facade has narrower bezels and some of the shots make the back feel like it’s chromed, while others make it feel like it’s covered with a glass panel.
All analysts and experts close to Apple believe we are in for a bigger iPhone X this year. While the general design format feels spot on the lack of a dual camera is odd. I think that Apple will keep its dual cam to be honest… What do you make of Hasan Kaymak’s choice? Also, where did the notch go?
