Qualcomm has claimed that its new Snapdragon 830 would be so powerful that it could provide the functioning of RAM up to 8 GB. This is good news but isn’t 8 GB too much for a processing chipset to handle? Well, we can say it isn’t too much.

This is because Smartphones having Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 would be featuring an Octa-core processor clocked around 3.0 GHz. Moreover, as rumored most smartphones of 2017 won’t even have RAM more than 5 or 6GB. This means that there is still some room left to counter the opinion that Snapdragon might not fully support 8 GB.

SMALLEST, YET THE MOST POWERFUL

A Chinese website has recently leaked the fact that Snapdragon 830 would be only 10nm in size. Earlier, in Snapdragon 820 it was 14nm. This improvement in size is expected to bring about the reduction in battery usage and bring an enhanced system performance.

It would be the first ever smallest processor to feature an 8 GB RAM. Many top smartphones of 2017 such as Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 7, LG G6, Sony Xperia Z7, and XIAOMI MI7 are expected to feature this small yet powerful processor.

OTHER AMAZING FEATURES OF THE 830 SOC

Samsung is reported to have this tiny processor manufactured. Comparing it with its predecessor, the Snapdragon 830 is much improved. It is expected to be providing a good interface regarding some of the new features such as retina eye scanner, fingerprint scanner, wireless charging.
