We keep hearing that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will be quite similar to
the Galaxy Note 10 in design and that’s now confirmed by one of the
biggest leaksters out there, @OnLeaks. Expected to drop on February
18th, the device just got rendered below.
Galaxy S11 is going to be pretty complicated, coming in 3 sizes and a
total of 5 versions. There will be a Galaxy S11e and Galaxy S11, each
with a 4G and 5G version, plus a Galaxy S11+, which only comes with 5G.
The only surprise that these high quality renders reveal is the “L”
shaped format of the camera. From what I remember this approach was
first done by a Galaxy M series phone and the “L” shaped thing should
also come to a few Galaxy A phones in the near future.
The front camera is cut within a punch hole in the device’s
“forehead” at the top side and the sides have very narrow bezels.
There’s not much room for surprise here and Samsung doesn’t seem to go
with a waterfall screen just yet. Samsung Galaxy S11 will have a 6.7
inch diagonal, probably in the S11+ version, but in a smaller footprint
on account of the curved sides and narrow bezels. OnLeaks also has
measurements leaked: 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 mm.
The camera bump is present and visible on that glass back and we also
have a metal frame. The L shaped camera system, which was also seen in
renders for the Galaxy A51 and A71 seems to include 5 sensors. 3 of them
will be regular cameras, while one will be a 3D ToF sensor. We also get
a LED flash and laser autofocus module. Expect a 108 megapixel sensor
here, a camera with 5x optical zoom, a spectrometer, 8K video recording
and Deep Fusion style tech, according to the source.
Galaxy S11e is rumored to have a 6.3 to 6.4 inch scree, while the S11
could have a 6.7 inch and S11+/ Pro could have a 6.9 inch screen. A 120
Hz panel is also rumored after a few recent leaks. The CPU choice will
be obvious: Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990, depending on the market.
We learn more on February 18th next year.
