Huawei P30 series gets zoom camera - Huawei P30 specifications
New Huawei phones get zoom function
Paris can be seen on the video. First, there is a strong zoom in on the Eiffel Tower, then on the Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame. It seems strongly to indicate that Huawei intends to equip the P30 with a powerful zoom lens.
Huawei smartphones are known for good image quality. In recent years the P-series and Mate-series telephones have been equipped with such good and innovative cameras that the company is one step ahead of Samsung, even if you look at the independent test results of DxO.
Earlier this year, the also Chinese manufacturer Oppo announced that it had developed a 10x optical zoom lens for smartphones. For the time being, however, no Oppo smartphone has been introduced with such a zoom range, although it is quite possible that this phone will be introduced before the Huawei P30.
Speaking of the introduction date, the teaser video closes with the text: 'Huawei P30 Series, 26.03.2019 Paris'. We will have to be patient for another month, then Huawei will reveal her new smartphone series in the heart of France.
You can probably actually buy the new phones from 28 March. Incidentally, it concerns three models, the P30 Lite, the P30 and the P30 Pro, these will replace the eponymous phones from the P20 series. The Lite version may already be introduced a little earlier, this will be the cheapest phone.
Huawei P30 specifications
Earlier this month, phone cases from Spigen appeared online, making the design unveiled in one fell swoop. Both the P30 and the P30 Pro are equipped with a small water drop notch. At the rear are three cameras, which are placed vertically from each other, in the upper left corner.
One of the new features will be 3D CuteMoji. Although with the current Huawei phones it is already possible to create and send 3D emoji (Qmoji), the Chinese manufacturer seems to be working on a variant with more human characteristics, instead of animals.
Probably the new Huawei smartphone is powered by a new processor, the Kirin 985. This is an upgraded version of the Kirin 980, the first 7nm AI chip, which was used for the first time in the Mate 20 smartphones.
The phones will run on the Android 9.0 operating system. The devices will probably have similar screen sizes as their predecessor, ie a 5.8-inch display for the P30 Lite and P30 and a 6.1-inch screen for the Pro model.
